Diaphragm Ultrasound
In the following section we will explore the use of ultrasound to assess function of the diaphragm. In Part I Dr Payer explores the assessment of diaphragm excursion or translation (downward) movement with inspiration. In Part II, Dr Payeur reviews assessment of diaphragmatic thickening with a high frequency linear probe and m-mode assessment.
